Gaynor Young's horrifying accident on 9 th December 1989 sent shock waves around the country as news of her horrific five-storey offstage fall while understudying the part of Guinevere in Camelot was released . Gaynor was in a deep coma for four weeks and re-surfaced brain damaged, was deaf and had only 40% eyesight.

Four and a half years later Gaynor, fulfilling a promise she made to herself, appeared once more onstage, this time to tell her incredible and heart warming story in her production of My Plunge to Fame .

In 2004 Gaynor appeared in her second show Gaynor Rising to vast critical acclaim.

She has also become renowned as a professional speaker getting more enjoyment out of doing so than she ever used to as an actress!
