Guy Lundy was born and raised in Cape Town . He holds a Bachelor of Social Science and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics from the University of Cape Town . He is currently studying towards his Masters degree in Futures Studies through the Institute for Futures Research at the University of Stellenbosch .
In October 2001 Guy gave a speech entitled "I pledge allegiance", which found its way into the inboxes of South Africans around the world, and which led him to co-author, with Wayne Visser, the book "South Africa: Reasons to Believe", which was launched in 2003.
Guy is now a professional speaker, travelling around the country encouraging South Africans to be more positive about their country and its future. He has also just produced a new book, "South Africa 2014: The story of our future" together with the editors of " South Africa : The Good News", Steuart Pennington and Brett Bowes.
Guy is also a Director of an international management consultancy specialising in the area of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). He has previously worked for a number of international firms, including Dimension Data, Ernst & Young, Oracle, Hermès and the London Stock Exchange.
Guy lived, worked and travelled for several years on four continents before finally settling back in Cape Town with his French wife. |
