Born in Cape Town in 1958, Paul du Toit's beginnings were humble showing patrons to their seats at Cape Town 's Nico Malan Opera House in 1979. Within a few months he'd made the move to the stage as a supporting principal, while entertaining restaurant diners with his guitar playing at lunch times and in between productions. During this stage he also tried his hand as a club DJ, before the travel bug found him lugging a backpack through Europe and North America .
In 1982 Paul burst on to the Johannesburg business scene in a battered 17 year old Hillman Super Minx, rapidly establishing himself as one of the only honest life assurance consultants in Jo'burg, receiving numerous awards and the inevitable promotion to Branch Damager at age 29. But by 1991 he was ready for bigger things, and spent the early nineties in sales, marketing and consulting. In 1995, he started his own training company, now accredited with the Services Seta, and going strong having passed the "10 years in business" mark.
October 1997 saw Paul deliver his first series of national talks for Volkswagen Dealer Training. Since then, he has become well known throughout Southern Africa for his Winning Attitude and Mind Blowing Customer Service seminars, and his innovative presentation skills programme that he designed in 1999. He is a skilled presentation and platform skills facilitator and is a regular speaker and MC at company conferences.
Paul is a founder member of the National Speakers Association of South Africa, and in August 2004 was elected Deputy President. On 2 April 2005 he presented a showcase at the Inaugural Global Speakers Summit where he carried the South African flag at the opening ceremony.
Paul's humorous, entertaining but high content presentation style has kept people riveted during his talks and seminars throughout Southern Africa .
But most important, his purpose to "unlock the potential within his delegates to positively impact the lives of all with whom they come into contact" sets him apart as an engaging speaker with influence and sustainability.
